Alternatives to College - Education and Schools

There are many alternatives to college. You don't have to attend a "regular college" to find a good job or learn efficiently. I personally don't like the way most colleges are run and I strongly recommend alternatives. In college, many people can learn a great deal but the price is usually a great deal of stress and usually end up owing thousands because of loans.

Education is important but you would be amazed at all the money You can save by purchasing some helpful books at your local Book store (preferable a large one). If you Have time to spend on the internet ... you can get your education from online encyclopedias (like Wikipedia) . After understanding most things ... you can breeze through college much fasters.

Some times you have to be careful and keep Your Sanity when mental instability creeps into your life due to too much stress (specially if you are a student and also working on the side for extra money).

College is usually forced by parents who grew up in a time when all these alternative schools weren't available. You know the story, kids are forced to go to a "regular college" by their parents so that the parents look good to their friends. Parents have a subconscious fear that their kids will be morons if they do anything other then what most of society considers the "only way" to succeed in life.

The present reality is that anyone can get a job if they have the skills (in most jobs). Sure, most government jobs require official degrees but not all.

Where are these alternative schools?

I don't have time for doing all that research for you but you can find tons of them in local newspapers where ever you live. Try looking at local listing in your state (on-line or off line).

The Library is also a great place to educate yourself for free (but don't just take from your community without giving back somehow).

Go to a local book store or Video store and but products that will teach you about subjects you're interested in but make sure to stay connected to society somehow to insure a nice and sane life (the best thing about college is your opportunity to speak with others in your class and school but you can do the same by joining groups in your community or creating groups in your community).

I don't have all the answers (Just most of them and you can find them all over my site in the home link bellow).
